St Barths Bucket Regatta 2027
A March fixture in Saint-Barthélemy, the Bucket lines up a fleet of sailing yachts from 27 to 150 metres in the harbour of Gustavia. The 2027 edition returns to the second-to-last full weekend of March and offers a series of four races, from Thursday to Sunday. A limited number of "social" entries, without racing, is also accepted for sailing and motor yachts.

Enter a yacht in the racing fleet, or take one of the non-racing social entries (limited number, sailing yachts as well as motor yachts) by writing to the event manager.
The turnkey stay
From 17 to 21 March 2027, the harbour of Gustavia welcomes one of the finest fleets of large sailing yachts in the world: for the duration of the St Barths Bucket, the port becomes a floating salon where guests meet from one quay to the next. The usual format is three official races from Friday to Sunday, preceded by an optional race on Thursday, on courses that circle the island. All that remains is to choose your vantage point: the heights of Gustavia, or the deck of a chartered boat following the fleet at close quarters.
Where to stay
- Fouquet's Saint-Barth — A five-star Barrière property set on the heights of Gustavia, rue des Normands, overlooking Shell Beach and the harbour where the Bucket fleet lies at anchor. Sixteen suites designed by Gilles & Boissier, a spa in exclusive partnership with Biologique Recherche open from 9am to 8pm, and the Beefbar restaurant led by executive chef Yiannis Kioroglou. For private entertaining: the Villa Diane, five bedrooms, about 465 m² (5,000 sq ft), for up to ten guests.
- Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa — A five-star hotel set on the lagoon of Grand Cul-de-Sac, on the north-east coast of the island — about fifteen minutes' drive from Gustavia, away from the bustle of the port. Interiors by Sybille de Margerie, Spa La Mer, restaurants blending French savoir-faire and Caribbean flavours. The hotel highlights its distinction as best resort in the Caribbean at the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards 2025.
Where to dine
- Bonito Saint Barth — Rue Lubin Brin, at the top of the port of Gustavia. The restaurant of chef-owner Laurent Cantineaux: French technique and pan-American flavours, in a dining room open to the harbour. Service Monday to Saturday from 7pm. (No Michelin distinction is claimed: this is an island institution.)
- L'Isola — In the heart of Gustavia, rue du Roi Oscar II. The island's Italian table since 2008, careful cooking, fish and seafood. (No Michelin distinction is claimed here either.)
What to experience
- Tradewind Aviation, arrivée en Pilatus PC-12 à Saint-Barth (SBH) — The arrival is already part of the journey. Scheduled flights on the Pilatus PC-12 (eight forward-facing seats) from San Juan (SJU) and Antigua (ANU), private charters from the United States via Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, all the way to the runway of Saint-Barthélemy, one of the most spectacular approaches in the Caribbean. Flights for the 2026-2027 season are already open for booking.
- Jicky Marine, affrètement privé avec équipage à Gustavia — Based in Saint-Barthélemy since 2004, a fleet of around fifteen boats from 38 to 90 feet: sailing catamarans, power catamarans, speedboats. Half-day, full day, sunset cruise or airport transfer — the way to follow the Bucket races from the water. Crew, fuel, open bar, beach towel and snorkelling gear included on most charters.
