The turnkey stay
On 16 August 2026, from 8 pm, the Tennis Club at Puente Romano becomes an open-air salon: cocktails and canapés as the sun sinks over the Mediterranean, then a three-course dinner with its wines, before the charity auction led by Daniel Shamoon. Grammy winners Soul II Soul share the night with the flamenco rumba of The Gypsies, before Marbella-born DJ Aruhtra carries it through to the small hours. Elegant cocktail attire, 350 € per person, in aid of World Vision — a partnership Puente Romano has supported since 2012, in the heart of the Golden Mile.
Where to stay
- Puente Romano Marbella — The gala is held within the resort itself (long known as Puente Romano Beach Resort): from your suite or villa, the Tennis Club is a short walk away. More than twenty restaurants and bars on site (Nobu, COYA, Cipriani, Sea Grill, La Petite Maison, GAIA, Leña), a Six Senses Spa voted best resort spa in Europe and in Spain at the World Spa Awards 2023, a beach club, pools and gardens facing the sea, on Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe.
- Marbella Club Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa — Neighbour and twin to Puente Romano, on the same Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe, founded in 1954 by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe. Subtropical gardens, Andalusian-style rooms, suites and villas, a thalassotherapy spa, beach club, heated pools and an 18-hole golf course; a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. Both houses belong to the same group and guests enjoy cross access to some of the facilities (pools, fitness, kids club, golf green fee) — to be confirmed at the time of booking.
Where to dine
- Skina — Two Michelin stars (the first in 2008, the second in 2019), Avenida Cánovas del Castillo 9, in Marbella, about ten minutes' drive from Puente Romano. In the kitchen, Mario Cachinero — the first Young Chef Award given in Spain by the Michelin Guide, Spain-Portugal 2022 edition — revisits the classic Andalusian repertoire with a highly personal signature. The house belongs to sommelier Marcos Granda, whose group of six restaurants holds seven stars in all.
- Messina — One Michelin star since 2016, retained in the 2026 guide, Avenida Severo Ochoa 12 in Marbella. Argentine chef Mauricio Giovanini brings the Mediterranean and Latin America into conversation, with co-owner Pía Ninci in the dining room and the cellar. An open kitchen and a chef's table for four guests, with dishes served to them alone.
What to experience
- Six Senses Spa, Puente Romano — The spa of the resort hosting the gala: hammam, sauna, herbal steam bath, hydrotherapy pool, cold plunge pool and sensory showers with light effects; nine treatment rooms, six on the ground floor with a relaxation lounge opening onto the Mediterranean and three upstairs with sea views. Voted best resort spa in Europe and in Spain at the World Spa Awards 2023.
- HeliAir Marbella — A helicopter operator established in Marbella since 1988, based at the Marbella heliport (Carretera Istán, km 2), on the Puerto Banús side, right next to the Manolo Santana Racquet Club, with its own pilots and engineers. Private flights and transfers, flights over the Golden Mile (40 min, from 1,500 €, up to 4 people) or Puerto Banús (20 min, from 900 €), escapes to Ronda, Gibraltar or the bodegas, and Fly & Drive packages.
