The Method
How this radar is made, and why you can trust it.
This site is a work of verification before it is a work of publication. Here are the rules that govern it. They admit no exception.
The rules
- A date is true, or it does not exist. Every piece of information is taken from its official source, then dated. An end date is never assumed by default: it is read from the source, or the doubt is written down.
- A doubt is never published as a certainty. It is entered in a register, then settled at the next verification.
- Choosing is an art. The radar does not list everything that exists: it keeps what deserves to be kept, to the standard of the Riviera.
- Nothing disappears in silence. A venue that closes, an event that is cancelled: archived with its proof. The archives remain there to consult.
- A place here cannot be bought. No event appears on this radar in exchange for payment. Partnerships, where they exist, are disclosed on the page concerned.
- A reported error is corrected within 48 hours, and the correction is noted. Report an error.
The “Verified at source” badge
On event pages, the note “✓ Verified at source on…” gives the date on which the information was last checked against its official source. It appears only when that verification is on record: no proof, no badge.
The languages
Every page exists in 13 languages. French is the reference: where versions differ, the French prevails, and the translation is corrected.
