How to get in

Asociación Argentina de Polo (AAP), organiser of the tournament and the body that allocates the palcos of the Campo Argentino de Polo.

No ticketing platform has been announced at this stage on the official website. Seats, private palcos and hospitality are requested from the AAP, by email or via the WhatsApp number published on its website.

The turnkey stay

Since 1893, the Abierto de Palermo has been the absolute summit of world polo: the stage where teams reach the maximum handicap of 40 goals. From 10 November to 12 December 2026, the 133rd edition is played at the Campo Argentino de Polo — "the Cathedral of polo", opened in 1928, up to 30,000 spectators — and closes with a December final that seals Argentina's Triple Crown, after Tortugas and Hurlingham. The stadium stands in the heart of Palermo, on Avenida del Libertador, the artery that runs straight down to the grand hotels of Recoleta.

• Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires — Posadas 1086/88, in Recoleta, one street from Avenida del Libertador — the artery that runs up to the Campo Argentino de Polo, about 4 km away. The hotel combines a contemporary tower with La Mansión Álzaga Unzué, an early twentieth-century private mansion. On site: the parrilla Elena — named after Elena Peña Unzué, the bride who received La Mansión as a wedding gift — renowned for its aged meats and listed in the MICHELIN Guide; the traditional asado of Nuestro Secreto; a spa with private treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy circuit; and the Pony Line bar, whose name is borrowed from polo vocabulary.
• Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires — Avenida Alvear 1661, the most aristocratic address in Recoleta, about 4 km from the Campo Argentino de Polo. Two buildings — the palace built in 1934 by architect León Dourge for the brothers Luis and Alberto Duhau, French-inspired neoclassical modelled on the Château du Marais, and a contemporary wing — linked by large terraced gardens. The Ahín Wellness & Spa offers massages, private treatments, meditation, a swimming pool and a gym; Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca, recognised by the MICHELIN Guide, serves meats, fish and seasonal produce over a wood fire, with La Vinoteca adding its cheese cellar and wine-and-cheese tastings. The Piano Nobile salons, with their original frescoes and wood panelling, serve afternoon tea.

Where to dine

• Don Julio — One star in the MICHELIN Guide Argentina, awarded in the inaugural 2024 edition and retained in 2025 and 2026. The parrilla of Pablo Rivero, who founded it in 1998: Guatemala 4699, on the corner of Gurruchaga, in Palermo Viejo — the same barrio as the stadium, some 2.5 km away. Aged meats, walls of signed bottles, long-term work with its breeders and producers. Booking strongly advised, well in advance.
• Crizia — One star in the MICHELIN Guide Argentina, awarded in 2025 and retained in 2026. Fitz Roy 1819, in Palermo Hollywood, about 2 km from the Campo Argentino de Polo. Chef and co-founder Gabriel Oggero spent years developing the cultivation and service of the Patagonian oyster in Buenos Aires — served raw or cooked — alongside contemporary cuisine built on seasonal Argentine produce, an urban kitchen garden and a cellar of more than 15,000 bottles. Dinner only, Monday to Saturday, from 19:00 to 23:00.

What to experience

• La Bamba de Areco, Relais & Châteaux — A Relais & Châteaux member estancia at San Antonio de Areco, 120 km from Buenos Aires, deep in the Pampas. Its origins go back to 1830, when it was one of the posting houses of the "Camino Real"; it became an estancia in the early twentieth century, was listed as heritage of San Antonio de Areco in 1970 and fully renovated in 2009. Eleven rooms and suites, each named after a polo horse, overlooking the park or the polo fields. Two fields on the property, an international polo team based there and, in season, practice and matches almost daily; excursions on horseback, by carriage or by mountain bike, and a large swimming pool.
