3rd Fondation Chaillot Gala Evening
Third edition of the Fondation Chaillot gala evening, held inside the Palais de Chaillot: a patronage evening bringing together donors, artists and partners in the Foyer de la Danse, an Art Deco room facing the Eiffel Tower head-on. All funds raised go in full to the Fondation Chaillot (under the aegis of the Fondation de France, chaired by Laurent Martinet) to support choreographic creation, the touring of works, digital projects and access to culture. Previous editions paired an exclusive performance with a haute gastronomie dinner and a DJ set; the programme for 19 November 2026 has not yet been published. The turnkey stay
The gala takes place in the Foyer de la Danse, beneath the gilding of the Palais de Chaillot, facing the Eiffel Tower. All around, the 16th arrondissement unfolds its own art de vivre: a palace hotel set in the former private mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte, five minutes away on foot; signature tables from the Bois de Boulogne to the rue de Longchamp; and the Seine, which you sail up by electric boat from the Port Debilly, at the foot of the Trocadéro. Two nights are enough to turn a patronage evening into a collector's stay.
Where to stay
- Shangri-La Paris — Palace hotel in the 16th arrondissement, set in the former private mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte, a listed Historic Monument, facing the Eiffel Tower and a few minutes' walk from the Trocadéro. 100 rooms and suites, Chi The Spa, the Cantonese restaurant Shang Palace, Maison Roland and Les Salons du Prince. The obvious base for a gala dinner at Chaillot.
- Brach Paris (Evok Collection) — A contemporary counterpoint in the 16th arrondissement: 7,000 m² designed by Philippe Starck inside a former 1970s postal sorting centre, 59 rooms and 6 suites. A 22-metre pool, sauna, hammam, salt cave, Clarins treatment rooms and a rooftop above the roofs of Paris — ideal for recovering the day after the gala.
Where to dine
- Astrance — In spirit, the table closest to the Trocadéro: Pascal Barbot in the kitchen, Christophe Rohat in the dining room, in the 16th arrondissement. Often wild produce, chosen one by one, cooking driven by instinct rather than display. The Salon Joël can be booked privately for 6 to 14 guests for an intimate pre-gala lunch.
- Le Pré Catelan — Three Michelin stars in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, with Frédéric Anton at the helm since 1997, under the Maison Lenôtre banner. A Second Empire pavilion among the trees, ten minutes by car from the Palais de Chaillot: lunch the day after, or dinner the evening before.
What to experience
- Ducasse sur Seine, croisière gastronomique — Boarding at the Port Debilly, literally at the foot of the Trocadéro: a silent, 100% electrically powered boat where you dine on a menu signed by Alain Ducasse and on-board chef Jean-Philippe Berens, with around a hundred wines in the cellar. Lunch or dinner; Paris glides past behind the wide picture windows.
- Molitor Paris, bassins Art déco et Spa Clarins — The legendary 1929 pool, brought back to life in the 16th arrondissement: winter and summer basins, La Plage by Clarins on the terrace, and one of the largest hotel spas in Europe (1,600 m², 13 treatment rooms, hammams, Hydrafacial, Icoone). A 1,500 m² Club Molitor and a panoramic rooftop to end the stay above the rooftops.
