99th Academy Awards
The great night of world cinema, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, broadcast on ABC and carried in more than two hundred territories. Conan O'Brien hosts the ceremony for the third year running. It is followed by the Governors Ball, the Academy's official dinner, and then a night of private parties that keep the city awake until morning.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, with ABC for the broadcast; the Governors Ball is organised by the Academy itself.
No tickets are sold by the Academy and no paid access to the ceremony exists. Charity galas are traditionally held the same evening in the city and sell tables and tickets, but no 2027 edition has been announced to date: their programmes will have to be published before a verified paid route can be offered.
The turnkey stay
On 14 March 2027, the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood hosts the 99th Academy Awards, presented by Conan O'Brien for the third year running. It is one of the last two editions the Dolby will ever see: it was announced in March 2026 that the Academy will move to the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live, downtown, from 2029. The whole stay fits within a few hundred metres of Hollywood Boulevard — the red carpet at 6801, and, across the road, the Blossom Ballroom of the Hollywood Roosevelt where the very first Oscars were handed out on 16 May 1929, in a private ceremony before 270 guests. One address, one century, and the final act of a story being written right there.

- The Hollywood Roosevelt — 7000 Hollywood Boulevard, across the boulevard, facing the Dolby Theatre — a few hundred metres on foot from the red carpet. Opened on 15 May 1927, financed by a group bringing together Louis B. Mayer, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and Sid Grauman, it was in its Blossom Ballroom that the very first Academy Awards ceremony was held, on 16 May 1929. Tropicana pool with a bottom painted by David Hockney in 1987, vintage 1950s cabanas at the water's edge, Shirley Brasserie, Spare Room, Library Bar, Tropicana Bar, and spa and wellness facilities on site.
- Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills — 9850 Wilshire Boulevard, in the heart of Beverly Hills — the base camp on the after-party side, a drive from the Dolby Theatre (about 10 km). The hotel holds the Forbes Travel Guide five-star distinction and houses a La Prairie spa as well as a rooftop pool. Two in-house tables: the rooftop Gemma and Baldi, a Tuscan steakhouse.
Where to dine
- Providence — 5955 Melrose Avenue, in Hollywood, about ten minutes by car from the Dolby Theatre. The house claims three Michelin stars as well as the Green Star for sustainability, under chef and co-owner Michael Cimarusti, alongside Donato Poto. Tasting menus built on wild fish from American waters.
- Musso & Frank Grill — 6667 Hollywood Boulevard, on the same boulevard as the Dolby Theatre, a few minutes' walk from the ceremony. Opened in 1919, it is the oldest restaurant in Hollywood: red banquettes, old-school grill and a century of tables where the city wrote itself. In 2019, for its centenary, it became the first restaurant to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
