The turnkey stay

Between Corsica and Sardinia, at the heart of the Lavezzi archipelago, Cavallo — the "billionaires' island" — can only be reached by sea or by air, and is home to a single address: the Hôtel & Spa des Pêcheurs, open for the 2026 season from 28 May to 27 September. The house unfolds its beaches, spa, restaurant, bar and beach club amid a maquis of myrtle and juniper, facing waters worthy of the Seychelles. You arrive by boat from Bonifacio or, grander still, by an eight-minute helicopter flight from Figari. The Mediterranean's most confidential address must be earned: all that remains is to be invited.

• Hôtel & Spa Version Maquis Citadelle — A five-star hotel facing the citadel of Bonifacio, the natural port of departure for Cavallo. A pool set upon the maquis, a spa with Biologique Recherche treatments and the restaurant La Vista opening onto the old town — the ideal stopover on the eve of the crossing.
• Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa & Spa Nucca — A five-star Relais & Châteaux set on the gulf of Porto-Vecchio, right at the water's edge along a long beach of fine sand. The 500 m² adults-only Spa Nucca (pool, sauna, hammam, seven treatment rooms), rooms, suites and a cabin perched in the pine grove — a Corsican family legend.

Where to dine

• Casadelmar — Two Michelin stars since 2009: chef Fabio Bragagnolo, with the house since it opened in 2004, crafts a Mediterranean gastronomy of rare purity, facing the gulf of Porto-Vecchio, on the route de Palombaggia.
• Stella d'Oro — A family institution in the upper town of Bonifacio since 1965, near the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, in an authentic old Bonifacian house. The aubergines à la bonifacienne, a recipe passed down from mother to daughter, are a ritual here before or after Cavallo.

What to experience
