The turnkey stay
Facing the yachts and the pink stone of the old town, L'Opéra stages a dinner show every evening from 19:30, where world cuisine with Mediterranean accents meets living tableaux inspired by Philippe Shangti's 2026 collection “Luxury Futuristic World” — then the DJ takes over the decks at midnight. All around, the peninsula unfolds its art de vivre: a palace hotel a step from the port, the only three-star table on the French Riviera, the legendary sand of Pampelonne and the Grand Cru Classé rosés from the hills of Gassin. Three days are enough to string it all together without ever driving more than twenty minutes.
Where to stay
- Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez (5★) — An emblematic address since 1931, at the entrance to the village and a few minutes' walk from the Vieux Port — and therefore from L'Opéra. Interiors signed Sybille de Margerie, cantilevered pool and Les Toits rooftop, Spa by Clarins, La Serena private beach. 1 Traverse de la Gendarmerie, 83990 Saint-Tropez — +33 (0)4 83 09 60 00.
- Hôtel Byblos Saint-Tropez (Palace) — A village within the village, between the Citadelle and the Place des Lices: 86 rooms and suites in Mediterranean architecture, Byblos Spa by Sisley, Italian restaurant Il Giardino, rooftop Skybar — and Les Caves du Roy to carry the night on after the show. 20 avenue Paul Signac, 83990 Saint-Tropez — +33 (0)4 94 56 68 00.
Where to dine
- La Vague d'Or, Cheval Blanc St-Tropez — Three stars in the 2026 Guide MICHELIN, the only three-starred table on the French Riviera. Here Arnaud Donckele signs an obsessive reading of Mediterranean fish and of the sauces that have become his signature, right at the water's edge on la Bouillabaisse beach. Open every evening in season, except Wednesday.
- La Voile, La Réserve Ramatuelle — A MICHELIN-starred table perched on the ridges of Ramatuelle, facing the bay. Chef Éric Canino composes a luminous Provençal score — vegetables, fish, aromatic herbs and olive oil — running against the current of opulence, fifteen minutes from the port. 736 chemin des Crêtes, 83350 Ramatuelle.
What to experience
- Le Club 55, plage de Pampelonne — The Pampelonne institution since 1955, run by the de Colmont family under the motto “here the customer is not king… because he is a friend”. Lunch beneath the tamarisks, sun loungers facing the open sea, beach cabins, bar and boutique. 2026 season: 27 March to 1 November. 43 boulevard Patch, 83350 Ramatuelle — +33 (0)4 94 55 55 55.
- Château Minuty, cave et dégustation, Gassin — One of the 23 estates distinguished as Grand Cru Classé of the Côtes de Provence in 1955, whose rosés rank among the best known in the world. Cellar visit, guided tasting and boutique on the estate, ten minutes from Saint-Tropez, at the heart of the peninsula's vineyards. Quartier Minuty, route de la Berle, 83580 Gassin.
