Ondalinda x Careyes — Cosmic Code
Born in 2016 on the private coast of Careyes, Ondalinda is a closed community whose festival is open to members only. The 2026 edition, titled "Cosmic Code", celebrates the tenth anniversary and draws on Mesoamerican cosmology. The official site is explicit: places are strictly limited and reserved for members, and purchases are non-refundable, only transferable to another member of the Ondalinda family.

Once a member, the festival package is offered according to three tiers published on the official page: 2,200 USD at the "Eager" rate (April-June 2026), 2,600 USD at "Relaxed" (July-August 2026) and 3,000 USD at "Snooze" (October-November 2026). The turnkey stay
From 12 to 15 November 2026, Costa Careyes hosts Ondalinda x Careyes — Cosmic Code, three nights announced by the organisers under this single title, within a community the site itself describes as private and accessible by referral. The detailed programme (stages, venues, dress codes) has not yet been published: what is confirmed are the dates, the theme and the location. Between two nights, Careyes remains what it is: a private enclave of ochre and cobalt villas suspended above the Pacific, 1 hr 30 by road from Manzanillo, 15 minutes from the Chamela airstrip, entrance at km 53.5 of Highway 200. And for those who don't want to come back down too fast, Ondalinda extends the stay with Ondasana, from 16 to 18 November 2026, again at Careyes.
Where to stay
- Cuixmala — Luxury eco-resort set on the Mexican Pacific, former estate of the Goldsmith family, at the heart of a nature reserve of more than 30,000 acres backing onto a 5,000-acre biodynamic farm. 43 rooms in all, and not one more: 4 suites and 6 bungalows at Casa Cuixmala, 4 private villas, 10 casitas with one to three bedrooms. Three restaurants on the estate (the resort does not publish their names). Wellness deliberately decentralised: private class at the yoga studio, massage served in your accommodation. Same Costalegre coast as Careyes; the estate publishes no travel time to the event, to be confirmed when booking.
- Las Alamandas — Estate of more than 2,000 acres in a nature reserve with four pristine private beaches, in Costalegre, Jalisco, on the Carretera Federal 200 km 82 — some thirty kilometres from the entrance to Careyes (km 53.5), 30 to 40 minutes by road. Opened in 1990 by Isabel Goldsmith. Just 18 suites and 8 villas, a spa, three restaurants: Oasis, La Palapa and Estrella Azul. The hotel claims on its own site a MICHELIN 2025 recognition, Virtuoso Preferred status, membership of HIP Hotels and an entry in National Geographic Traveller's Coastal Collection 2025. Access: 2 hr 30 south of Puerto Vallarta airport, 1 hr 30 north of Manzanillo airport. The hotel's private airstrip is currently unavailable; the house itself recommends the Chamela airstrip, 15 minutes away.
Where to dine
- Playa Rosa Restaurant & Bar — The signature table of Careyes, at the Playa Rosa Beach Club, feet in the sand: Mexican-Mediterranean cuisine, full bar, menu developed in partnership with Punta Arena, indoor bar and outdoor service points since the renovation. Service from 9 am to 10 pm, closing at 4 pm on Tuesdays. To be frank: no star here. It is a local institution, not a starred table.
- La Duna Restaurant & Bar — The table of El Careyes Club & Residences, on a quiet deck overlooking the Pacific, in the very heart of Careyes and therefore minutes from the Ondalinda nights. Contemporary Mexican cuisine from breakfast to dinner, very fine vegan options, service from 8 am to 10 pm (closing at 6 pm on Mondays). The most convenient address for a late lunch between two sleepless nights. Here too, a local institution and not a starred table.
What to experience
- Arriver à Careyes : aéroports et pistes privées — Careyes slips between two international airports: Manzanillo (ZLO) about 1 hr 30 by road, Puerto Vallarta (PVR) 2 hr 30-3 hr. The estate entrance is at km 53.5 of Highway 200 linking the two. To avoid the main road, two private airstrips: Chamela (CHM31) 15 minutes from Careyes and Chalacatepec (COJ) 40 minutes away. Private charter flights to these airstrips are arranged directly with reservations@careyes.net. A note of honesty: the official site documents neither a helipad nor a helicopter arrival procedure — to be asked of the estate if that is your plan.
- Careyes Polo Club — Two regulation Bermuda grass fields three miles south of the main Careyes gate, stables for 150 horses and a string of 60 trained playing ponies available for hire. The season runs from November to April, with matches on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and the Copa Agua Alta — 25th edition, more than 160 horses, players from Italy, France, Germany and the United States among others.
