The 83rd Venice International Film Festival runs from 2 to 12 September 2026 at the Palazzo del Cinema on the Venice Lido, under the artistic direction of Alberto Barbera. There are two routes. The public route: screening tickets, for daytime and evening screenings, are on sale on the official website labiennale.org. For 2026, the deadline was set at 5 August, editorial supporting documents were required, and registration fees could apply depending on the category, following the official fee schedule.
As for the gala premieres and the Lido red carpet, the honest answer is that they cannot be bought: they come by invitation from distributors and houses. Attending the festival is therefore within reach of anyone who buys tickets on La Biennale's website; climbing the steps of the Lido is a matter of invitation.
