The turnkey stay
For the Salone del Mobile, the jet set forgoes the fairground hotels to settle into the Quadrilatero della Moda and Brera, between suites signed Bulgari or Mandarin Oriental, starred dinners and rooftops overlooking the rooftops of Milan. The ritual: trade accreditation collected in the morning at Rho Fiera, then afternoons devoted to the historic showrooms of Via Durini and the Fuorisalone, before the city shifts into evening mode, cocktails on terraces, gastronomic tables booked months in advance, and a last drink beside a pool suspended above Milan.
